John C's Story
As some of you may have known; After graduating from high school in 1967 I enlisted in the Marine Corps for travel and adventure...well the travel was to Viet Nam and the adventure was ...... well not in Viet Nam but after for the next twenty two an ahalf years untill retireing from the military in August of 1988.
The adventure to follow was while in the military was to move on the average every four years from up and down California ( San Francisco, Santa Anna, San Diego), Yuma, Arizon, New Oreans, Louisiana, Owkinawa, Japan and Jacksonville, North Carolina. We moved after I retired from the military to Salem, Oregon were the children continued their part time college and job opportunities.
Now they have their families and we have six grandchildren.
After retireing from the military I've done a few different jobs from installing auto glass and manufacturing of viny windows, good money but no life in the summer time so I now work at Wal-Mart in the seafood section.
And the adventure continues on but the traveling is saved for vacations now. Drop a line sometime and I'll try to keep up, Later John C P
